Passports - By Appointment Only
First-time applicants can register for a passport at the Clerk's Office. To make an appointment for passport services, please call 847/933-8203.
To register for a passport, you will need your original or certified birth certificate, a driver's license or state-issued ID, one passport-size photo (two-inch by two-inch color photo) and a check made out to the U.S. Department of State ($130 for those 16 years of age and over, $100 for those under 16 years of age). A processing fee of $35 will also be charged. Passport processing hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. More detailed information can be found online at travel.state.gov.
