Skokie Snapshot: Giving Health a ‘Shot’

The Skokie Health and Human Services Department (HHS) administered more than 1,300 flu vaccines to community members and Village staff at flu shot clinics this October, helping keep our community healthy this flu season!

New this year, the Village administered more than 640 senior high-dose vaccines, providing Skokie seniors with enhanced protection from flu-related illness.

Local photographer Rich Cahan captured photos of the Village’s Flu Shot Clinic held at Oakton Park on October 12 as part of the Village’s ‘Skokie Snapshot’ photo series.

Cheers to our volunteers

Keeping our community healthy requires a team effort. Thank you to the Village’s Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteers, Village staff, and Oakton College RN students for making the flu shot clinics a success.
