Hearings for Code & Health Violations
The Administrative Hearing Program was created in March of 1998 to allow individuals receiving citations for code violations to appear at an Administrative Hearing at the Village Hall. The primary goal of the Village's program is to improve compliance with Village ordinances.

Hearings for Vehicle & Parking Violations

Contest a Ticket
Citizens who have received parking or vehicle violations are able to contest these tickets. One can contest in person or by mail.

Failure to Appear at a Hearing
If you have a valid reason for not appearing at your scheduled Hearing date you may provide a written petition within 14 days of the original Hearing date to request a new Hearing date. Learn how.

Pay a Ticket
Citizens with violations can pay their tickets online, by mail, in person, or by utilizing the drop box.

Vehicle Immobilization - The Boot
Any vehicle or vehicles registered to an owner(s) who has accumulated 5 or more unpaid tickets that have reached the stage of the Notice of Final Determination are subject to immobilization. Learn more about hearings, contesting, and post-immobilization.

Vehicle Ordinance Violations Fines & Fees
The Skokie Village Code has provided for administrative hearings of vehicle standing, parking, and compliance violations. The violations are subject to administrative hearing if they are contested, unpaid, or a determination of liability is issued against the registered owner of the subject vehicle or the party named in the violation notice.
